The Best Coffee Creamer | Homemade & Made With All Natural Ingredients!

Am I the only one who feels like they NEED coffee in the morning. Not in the “oh it would be nice” type of way though. It’s more like your eyes don’t fully open until you get that first sip type of situation? That’s definitely me! Coffee, while I read my devotional, is always my favorite part of the morning!

I make creamer for myself every week and I just can’t go back to store-bought versions. If you’ve seen any of my What I Eat In A Day posts then you know that I put homemade creamer in my coffee every morning. It’s time for me to share the recipe because it’s just too good not to.

This coffee creamer is easy to make and has simple, all-natural ingredients. If you like a good cup of coffee, you’re going to love this!

What you Need:

A high power blender

A nut milk bag

1 cup of raw almonds

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

4 teaspoons of coconut oil

2 cups of water

2  large dates (pitted)

Instructions For Making Your Creamer

Step 1: Put your almonds in a jar or bowl with a lid. Cover your almonds with water and let the almonds soak for at least 8 hours, up to 2 days. FYI: I would not soak them for any longer than two days because you risk the almonds going bad.

What kind of almonds should I buy?

For this recipe, you want to buy plain, unsalted and unroasted almonds.

Step 2: After your almonds are done soaking drain the water from them, using a strainer. Rinse your almonds and put them into your blender.

Step 3: Add the water, coconut oil, dates, and vanilla extract to the blender. Blend on high power for 30 seconds. FYI: When using a high powered blender 30 seconds is plenty of time. I would not blend for any longer.

Step 4: Put your nut milk bag in a large bowl. Pour the almond mixture into your nut milk bag, and pull the drawstring to close the bag.

Where can I buy a nut milk bag?

I purchased my nut milk bag off of amazon.

Step 5: Twist your bag and squeeze down until you remove as much liquid as you can. Note: Before starting this step, be sure your hands have been washed and dried really well.

Should I just throw away this almond pulp?

I would not throw away this pulp. You can make homemade almond flour out of it. It’s also great to mix into oatmeal and homemade desserts. What I typically do is freeze my almond pulp until I get a big batch of it. After I have a fairly large batch, I will dehydrate it in the oven and make homemade almond flour out of it. Almond flour in stores is so dang expensive, but so much cheaper made at home. Let me know if you would like to see written instructions for making almond flour at home.

How do I clean my nut milk bag?

To clean your nut milk bag, simply turn the bag inside out and rinse it well with cold water. Next, squeeze your bag to get out as much water as you can. The last step is to put a plate inside your nut milk bag and let it dry on the countertop. Once your bag is dry you can then fold it up and store it, until you are ready to use it again.

Step 6: Transfer your creamer into a jar and place it in the refrigerator. Note: Be sure to shake up your creamer each time before using it.

How long does this coffee creamer last?

This creamer typically stays fresh for a little over a week.
