What I Eat In A Day As An Intuitive Eater #4 |Date Night!

What I Eat In A Day As An Intuitive Eater #4 |Date Night!

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been eating intuitively for about three months now. Emotionally there have been ups and there have been downs, but when it’s all said and done the ups definitely outweigh the downs. I never ever imagined that I would have the food freedom that I have now and I am so grateful for it. It is something that I’ve been looking for… for a very long time. If you are here to see what a normal day of eating, free of food rules and expectations, looks like I am here to share another.

Here’s What I Ate…

Morning Coffee:

For my coffee this morning, I used regular unsweetened almond milk with a little bit of agave.

For breakfast, I had a chicken sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on flatbread.  I don’t tend to buy breakfast foods like this a lot, but it was on sale at Target so I decided to give it a try. It was pretty good, but I knew that it wasn’t going to be filling so I premade a smoothie the night before.

In my smoothie, I put coconut water, coconut yogurt, frozen strawberries, a little bit of avocado, chia seeds, collagen, and some spinach.

Just in case you are interested, I included a link to the collagen that I use. I have used this brand for years and love it! I have always used my own money to purchase the product and this post is not sponsored, but if you purchase through this link I may receive a small commission from Amazon.

For a snack, I had two boiled eggs with a bowl of strawberries and cherries.

Ever since I found plain ramen noodles at Costco, I’ve been on a stir fry kick like crazy. For lunch, I had stir fry noodles with chicken and broccoli. I tossed the noodles, chicken, and broccoli in soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. I also had a vegetable egg roll, that I bought from the freezer section at the grocery store, on the side. This was such a filling meal that I only ended up eating about half of the stir fry.

This was a Friday and Friday night in our house is date night! Friday nights are my favorite because I get to spend some time with my love and just have a good time. On this particular night, we decided to stay in, have appetizers and watch some TV. Married At First Sight was first on the docket… if you’ve never seen that show you are missing out!!!

On our appetizer platter, we had two types of crackers, an assortment of cheeses, crab bites, and air fryer chicken wings. On the side, we decided to have a mixed kale salad. We really enjoyed this dinner. It was so good and easy to make.

With dinner, I decided to have a glass of white wine. I don’t drink much, but hey, every now and then a glass of wine is in order. (Don’t mind that my Christmas tree is still up. I’ll have to take it down soon, but for now, I’m still enjoying it. Don’t judge me! Haha!)

A little while after dinner I wanted something a little sweet. I had some of these Bark Thins. I really like Bark Thins, but I prefer the dark chocolate almond. The pumpkin seed one is okay, but it’s nowhere near as good as the almond.

That was everything I ate in a day! This was a delicious day of eating and one where I was so grateful that I wasn’t bound to a set of food rules that someone set for me AND convinced me that I should follow. I had a normal day and ended it with my sitting on the couch with my husband eating good food and enjoying time together. I would not trade these days and this freedom for anything!

I’m interested to know…have you made the transition to becoming an intuitive eater or are you still on the fence? I would love to chat. You can leave a comment below or send me an email at timmeisha@simplyastressfreekitchen.com.
