What I Eat In A Day To Lose Weight #4 Easy and Healthy

Some people believe that the only way to lose weight is to diet or count calories, but I could not disagree more. I have been able to lose over 40 pounds naturally simply by learning to listen to my body, watching my portion sizes, and eating balanced meals. For those of y’all that are looking for some food inspiration, I wanted to share another what I eat in a day post. All of the meals that I will be sharing are healthy, balanced, and easy to put together. My diet is not perfect by any means, but if you want to see the types of things that I eat on a regular basis to lose weight then keep on reading.

Morning Coffee:

I had one cup of coffee. To my coffee, I added 1/4 cup of coconut/almond milk creamer and a little less than 1 tablespoon of agave. I usually only add unsweetened almond milk and agave to my coffee, but this particular morning I wanted to spice it up a bit.

Breakfast:

For breakfast, I had 2 mozzarella cheese sticks. Generally, I would definitely eat a lot more for breakfast, but I knew that I was going to meet my husband at Subway in less than 2 hours so I decided to have something small to hold me over until we met.

Late breakfast/ Early Lunch:

By the time we went to Subway, I was really hungry. I ordered a foot long sub on flatbread with turkey, egg, cheese, bell peppers, onions, olives, cucumbers, and tomatoes. On the side, I asked for two sauces: honey mustard and creamy sriracha. I always get my sauces on the side so I can decide how much I want to use. I used a small amount of each sauce.

Snack:

Because I had such a big meal at Subway I did not get hungry again until it was almost dinner time. For a snack, I had one large banana with about one tablespoon of almond butter. I put the banana and almond butter in the microwave for 30 seconds. This was my first time doing this, but it was so good! I’ll be having this more often.

Dinner:

For dinner, I made a taco salad, with blue corn tortilla chips on the side. For the taco salad, I put a couple of cups of mixed greens at the bottom of the bowl. I topped the mixed greens with ground chicken, light sour cream, guacamole, cheddar cheese, salsa, and sliced grape tomatoes.

With my dinner, I had a Spindrift sparkling water. Spindrift is the best sparkling water that I have tried and I’m pretty sure it’s because they use real fruit juice.

Dessert:

For dessert, I had 1 cup of frozen mango and about 4 servings of whip cream on top. This was a simple dessert, but I really liked it.

**On this day I drank 96 ounces of water with lemon**

I hope this post not only gave you some meal ideas, but also showed you that you do not have to go to diet or count calories to lose weight. Sustainable weight loss just takes patience, a balanced way of eating, and time. Every day will not be perfect (this day definitely was not for me), but if you just keep going eventually you will reach your goals!
